The Brother’s 1970 six pack sunroof Charger finally appeared at Chrysler Carlisle last weekend. It was scheduled to make its debut at MCACN last November – but a shipping miss hap left it in less than perfect condition. I was at the November show – and would have drooled all over myself even with its imperfection. Pretty cool car – 4 speed included.

Owner just contacted the Registry

The owner of this beautiful 1973 Charger Rallye just contacted the registry. This beauty sports the peppy 340-4 barrel small block and is loaded with many options, including the dual chrome mirrors, hood pins, and the power bulge hood with performance hood paint treatment – all straight from the factory. This car is almost entirely original – with the exception of a fresh layer of paint – gorgeous!

Another A-body Canvas Slider Surfaces

72SRDuster

In 1971-1972, the A Bodies received a very different sunroof than its bigger siblings. It was a manual sliding canvas roof that actually revealed more of the open air than the power sunroofs in the B and E Bodies. This particular Duster has been in the same family all of its life. Father and son (just a little tyke) went to a dealership and looked at two Dusters – a standard hardtop and this one. The son chose this one – and it came home. When the son was old enough to drive, the car was handed down to him. He has owned it ever since, and is currently hunting down some of the sunroof parts to get the restoration rolling. Good luck with your awesome ride!

1972 Duster 340

In 1971 and 1972, the A – Bodies got a slightly different sunroof setup than the B, C, and E – Bodies. It was a manual operated canvas slider that actually provided that “open air” experience for the passengers in the rear seat also.  I am just getting into documenting the early A – Body sunroof cars – and have only run across 3 Dusters and 3 Demons so far. I will start delving into the A – Body forums soon to try and uncover more of these cars. The owner of this ride just contacted the sunroof registry.

Stunning 74 Charger from across the pond.

The owner of this amazing ride hails from Norway, and is a mopar guy through and through. He snagged this gorgeous Charger a few years back from the Kansas City area. It was an Executive Lease car – so it is loaded to the gills with options. He is currently going through the car with a fine toothed comb to make sure that all the proper trim and equipment is in place just like when it left the factory. He plans a few modifications, but nothing that can’t be put back to factory specifications easily.

The owner of this 1972 Charger likes to get it out to car shows fairly often. This car is decked out with options like Air Conditioning, Rear Defrost, Dual Chrome Mirrors, Hidden Headlights, Rallye Guage Cluster, Fender Mounted Turn Signals, Belt and Wheel Well Trim, and is topped of with the Brougham Package. And, of course, it has the sunroof.

A car guy in Canada is starting to gather up the parts to get this 1971 Chrysler 300 back on the road. This paint on this sunroof car is originally GB7 Evening Blue. This car also sports the 440 TNT engine. Can’t wait to see this one restored!
